I've been hearing about Villa Lena's picturesque retreat and it's renown artist residency for quite some time now. I can only imagine the Italian sun on your back, a fresh wind in your hair, the smell of herbs and cypress trees being the perfect setting to get out of busy city life, take life a bit slower and develop on ideas and collaborative projects. Each year the Villa welcomes a number of selected artists to spend two months at Villa Lena developing their project of choice, where you can also join them for a weekend.

There is one spot in France which is famous for their all-star lineups of, the best of the best, who's who of the design world - giving workshops and that spot is the French Château of Domaine de Boisbuchet. They host a series of small hands-on workshops throughout each summer with some of the hottest contemporary designers. So since 2016, Formafantasma has been the head of the design course MAN MADE/Design in Flux with a new University, Made Program, in Sicily, Italy and this summer they have organised 8 days of workshops and lectures around the theme of "Authentic-city".
